All this long time the children have been at the trial observing. Once Calpurnia, Aunt Alexandra, Miss Rachel, and Atticus learn this, they are all very angry, except one person... Atticus! He is not disappointed at all, in fact he lets them come back! When the children have to go back home for supper, they ask Atticus if they may go back to hear the verdict, while Calpurnia and Aunt Alexandra may disagree with Atticus, he says yes. Though their Aunt, and Calpurnia are disappointed by Atticus's response, he's the father, and HE gets the LAST word!
